Today, we made our way to Wisconsin. We left
Kevin's house early in the morning and made our way up to Green Bay to
see the classic Lambeau field. But first, we stopped in Appleton
to see our friend Marissa. She cooked us a delicious lunch for
which we were very thankful. After that, we were off to Lambeau.
Once arriving, we first took a quick tour of the
Packers Hall of Fame. This was really, really cool because we
saw all their retired numbers, Super Bowl trophies and rings, and a
bunch of memorabilia collected throughout their 80 year existence.
We then took the stadium tour. On it, we experienced the luxury
boxes, the only bleacher seats left in the NFL, and other behind the
scenes features. This was truly a unique experience and no other
team in the NFL can offer something this amazing.
After that, it was back to baseball. We made
the two hour drive to Milwaukee to see the Cubs take on the Brewers.
We met up with some of Alon's friends at the game. They were
really good guys and showed us a great time. We entered Miller Park
and were quickly amazed at the structure. Neal likes to think of
it as a mix of the technologically advanced Rogers Centre in Toronto
with the friendly confines of Wrigley field in Chicago. The
brats and chiroza (a Mexican sausage) were succulent, and they seemed
to have every ballpark food imaginable.
The game itself was good too. The Brewers
jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, but the Cubs came
within a few clutch hits of winning the game, but as a result, the
Brew Crew won 7 to 5. Overall, we saw 4 home runs hit which is
excellent.
After the game, we went out with some friends and
had a great time. We then made our way back to "The Dude" Danny's
house for some much needed sleep.
