Las Vegas, Nevada

What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas...

Well, except for... driving into Las Vegas at night, which was really cool.  When you enter the Nevada border, the first thing you see is lights, and you immediately think Vegas.  But as it happens, there are two small casino towns before Vegas called Primm and Jean.  When you finally get to Vegas, the lights overwhelm you.

We basically spent the 3 days here relaxing and trying to stay out of the direct sun.  We were there during the highest recorded temperature in Vegas history [I heard either 116 or 122 Fahrenheit].  Either way it was hot, but not terribly uncomfortable due to the 2% humidity.  We visited a lot of the casinos and even got to see some famous poker players at one of the World Series of Poker Main Events [Phil Helmuth, Chris Fergusen, Howard Ledderer, Men Nguyen, Daniel Negraneau].  We also swam in a lot of the luxurious pools, like the Bellagio and Wynn.

On our last day, Neal went to a live showing of the Price Is Right and Alon and Sivanne went to see Lance Burton perform a magic show.  We all had a great time at these shows!  The next day, we will be driving through the desert to Lake Tahoe, see you there!
